Admission requirement

  • Proof of successful completion of a four-year Bachelor's degree with the artistic main subject for which the application for this Master's program is made.
  • Students who did not obtain their degree at a German-speaking institution must prove that they have sufficient German language skills (min. level A2 according to the European Framework of Reference).
  • Successfully passed aptitude test

Qualifying examination

The aptitude test consists of an artistic-practical examination in the main subject. For detailed information, please refer to the aptitude test regulations.

The Master of Music Wind Instruments program is divided into the following modules:

  1. Core module
  2. Artistic-practical context
  3. Elective module
  4. Master thesis/project

In the first two modules, the program focuses exclusively on deepening skills in the solo instrument. In the elective module there is the possibility to complement the profile from that of the university. The program is completed by the master's thesis/project.
