Support for study, teaching and research

The library of the Cologne University of Music and Dance is a special library that provides all students and teachers of the university with literature and information for study, teaching, research and artistic practice.

From 21 July 2025, the opening hours of the lecture-free period will apply. 

On Wed, 02.07.2025 the circulation desk of the library will close at 11:00 a.m., the reading room will remain open as usual.

Seat cushion/balance cushion

Seat cushions/balance cushions can now be borrowed from the circulation desk for use on site.

Retro Desk

We have set up a retro desk in the media room at the Cologne site. At this workstation, it is possible to play older audio media such as vinyl records.
The devices can be controlled via headphones, which can be borrowed from the counter.

Payment of fees:

The library only accepts bank transfers for the payment of fees.
Payment of the fees must be made to the following account (reason for payment is NECESSARY):
