Tasks & Responsibilities

Departmental management and associated secretariats provide support and advice to the dean's offices and faculty on all departmental administrative and clerical matters:

Departmental concerns

  • Meeting coordination and planning for departmental councils, commissions, committees
  • Departmental budgets and payment matters
  • Business trip and excursion matters
  • Supervision of teaching staffing procedures
  • Inquiries regarding appointment, LfbA and teaching contract regulations
  • Inquiries regarding honorary and visiting professorships
  • Contact point for planning and coordinating master classes, workshops and projects


Interdepartmental matters

  • Application procedures for student/scientific assistants (SHK/WHK)
  • Supervision of doctoral procedures
  • Supervision of course catalog (LSF)
  • Coordination of Deutschlandstipendium
  • Coordination of teaching assignments
  • Support in determining admission capacities
