  1. Vacancy
muvac is originally a platform for vacancies in the music sector. Therefore, the term of vacancy (= free job to be offered) is used. Each degree programme for which you may apply at the Cologne HfMT corresponds to a vacancy of its own in every course of study.

  1. Expertise
All offered degree programmes have to be assigned to a so-called "expertise" in muvac. An expertise is a specific instrument. Thus, all relevant offers for a specific instrument can be displayed in a filtered manner on the muvac website under the "Vacancies” menu item.
Whenever you create a profile in muvac, you have to select an expertise. Then, you may only apply for degree programmes which request this expertise.
Example: You wish to apply for the Violin Bachelor of music. Then, select the "violin” expertise. If you then wish to apply for the percussion instrumental Bachelor of music, you have to change the expertise to "percussion instrumment" in your muvac profile first.
