Musical Theatre and Orchestra Education

Musical theatre, orchestra education, and integration into the regional EU cultural scene are central themes in Aachen.

Its close proximity to the Aachen Theater makes practical learning a given at the University. Every year, a joint large-scale opera production is hosted with the Aachen Theater. The production (soloists, choir, and orchestra) is comprised exclusively of students from the University and is listed in the theater's official performance schedule. Year-long and performance internships for singers as well as musicians are available to students in Aachen.

Furthermore, with its numerous cultural partners, the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz has close ties to the city and region of Aachen as well as the Meuse-Rhine region.
