The Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln is reintroducing the Concert Examination program during the 2010/11 winter semester.

The Concert Examination program is a certificate program subject to charge and separate from the Bachelor of Music/Master of Music system. The program comprises only the obligatory courses in the major. If required, additional specialized courses can be created and included on a certificate after successfully completion.

The admissions requirements for the aptitude test are a Master of Music or comparable degree with an excellent final grade in the major, as well as three letters of recommendation from respected individuals from the music community. One of the three letters must come from the instructor under which the student hopes to study while at the University.

A 60-minute recital must be presented during the aptitude test and the applicants must bring their own accompaniment/répétiteur. Please indicate who you are bringing with you on the application!

The aptitude tests will be administered from the beginning of oktober. Registration deadline: July 1.
