In order for students to gather diverse and realistic concert and stage experience thereby optimally preparing themselves for a professional career, a university’s technical sound, lighting, and video equipment must be on par with that of professional institutions. This includes the ability to produce high-quality recordings of concerts or performances for later analysis or audio and video recordings of a competition.
The University’s newly constructed studio is a state-of-the-art recording studio that leaves nothing to be desired. The studio offers professional support for everything from high-quality and broadcast-quality recordings of concerts to the recordings to be submitted for competition. High-quality microphones capture the best sound quality from solo to orchestra performances. Our trained staff consults with you in advance and captures the recordings. Recordings are then edited in our mastering studio. Once the University’s own label has been established, professional recordings will be produced made available as downloads for purchase online. Information about signing up for recording sessions or applying to the University’s label will soon be available on this page.
The video editing studio along with modern high-definition recording equipment completes the University’s sound services, ensuring that performances of all kinds can be recorded in the audiovisual format and used later for other purposes. This type of recording is especially important for observing an individual’s performance in musical theatre and dance productions.
High-tech projectors can also enhance performances. Using projectors, video animations can be included as part of on-stage performances.
